SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY

Emotions determine the amount of mental energy available to a player.

mental and emotional states of athletes directly impact their physical abilities and overall performance.

WHAT WE DO?

"Sport psychology is a proficiency that uses psychological knowledge and skills to address optimal performance and well-being of athletes, developmental and social aspects of sports participation."(American Psychology Association)

HOW WE DO?

360-degree assessment of each player to understand the past, present and future prospects.
One-on-one discussions with the player.
One-on-one discussion with the parents.
Regular counselling, assessments, observations, interventions and planning.

WHY WE DO?

Emotions play an important role in behavior for high-performance athletes.
High-performance sport results in euphoria or dysphoria. It is important to learn the art of balancing emotions.
Real behavior is based on strong emotional responses. There is a difference between know-how and know-how under stress.
It is most important to take care of the mind of an athlete.

FITNESS & CONDITIONING

Physical fitness is the building block for all high-performance sports.

The ability to perform sport-specific techniques depends on the physical conditioning of the player.

WHAT WE DO?

Each sport has unique physical requirements for high performance
Each age group has strengths and limitations concerning mental and physical development.
We design personalized fitness and conditioning programs that enable the players to reach their best possible fitness potential.
Support with the injury rehabilitation process.

HOW WE DO?

Measure the player's current profile:
It defines the present-day physical conditioning of the player. this is the baseline for any personalized fitness training programs.
Define the player's ideal profile:
It is the satisfactory fitness level for the player concerning the sport. The main goal is to achieve and continuously improve these levels.
Reduce the profile gap:
The smaller the difference is between the current and the ideal profile, the closer the athlete will be to optimal levels of high athletic performance.

WHY WE DO?

Fitness:
Is defined by markers that allow us to see a potential increase in performance. Fitness markers are all qualities that contribute to the energy output side of performance
Conditioning:
Is about our ability to use our fitness qualities to meet the demands of the environment. Conditioning is the real driver behind our performance.
Progressive overload:
The intensity with which an exercise is done must be high enough above the individual’s normal range for any desired physiological adaptation to occur.
Recovery:
The body is allowed to adapt to the stress associated with exercise, replenishes energy stores and provides time for the body tissue to heal and repair.

DATA ANALYTICS

High-performance analysis requires concrete facts with data.

The feedback must be backed up with data, that distances facts from the coach's subjective perspective.

WHAT WE DO?

We measure, record, analyze and track:
Things to maintain:
The ones that are present and should still be present.
Things to be consolidated:
The ones that are present in an oscillating manner and that should be permanent.
Things to add:
The ones that are not present and should be present.
Things to be eliminated:
The ones that are present and should not be present.

HOW WE DO?

Measure:
To establish a system of assigning values to the components that are central to the athlete's performance.
Analyse:
To evaluate the impact of each implemented action and results to identify improvement areas.
Track:
To identify the most important events and take data-driven decisions to improve the athlete's performance.

WHY WE DO?

High performance requires evaluation before, during, and after each event. If we are not on the right path, either the goal must be adjusted, the training process remedied, or a new skill must be chosen for development.
Expecting that all information related to the athlete's performance should be stored in the trainer's memory contradicts the basis of high performance.
If we know the high-performance indicators, we can measure a player's current response profile and compare it with the ideal profile.
